Hi there .
I also would like to use this mms diary.I am having problems setting up my nokia 6100 .
I am on O2 payandgo in the UK. I have set the homepage to my URL , but Iam not sure if I have to change the Session mode , Data bearer, GPRS access point ,Ip address , authentication, User name , and Password . Any help on this would be most helpful. Embarassed

Well, it all depends

If O2 lets you access servers on the net by using their wap-gw then you don't have to change anything but the MMSC URL (which is strangely named "Home page" on the Nokias). But since you have done that and it's still not working then I suppose they won't let you.

If you do have access to another wap-gw then you can try using that one instead - if they let you access another WAP-GW from your GPRS access point. If they don't then you are pretty much toast unfortunately. I've had a few guys from England testing it but I don't know if they had O2. I could contact them and ask perhaps.

Perhaps anyone else here on the forum has experience with O2?

If everything fails then you can have a look at Peffisaur instead which is like MMS Diary++ you could say. On that one you can send messages using email instead, which in your case means that you can keep your O2 settings and just send the message to an email address instead. That might give O2 an income though and perhaps you don't want that Smile

As last resort, if there is no way out, you can always change operator to an operator that believes in a free mobile Internet. But perhaps that is not the most convenient solution unfortunately Sad

So sorry, cannot do much to help you really. On some operators all you need to do is to change the "home page" URL whereas others think they own your phone and your usage of it.

Razz Hi there.
I ckecked and rechecked my connection settings and they were ok. I dont know how, but I have now managed to send gif and jpg using mms to my URL Unfortunately the info.txt and part_1.txt has not appeared with all of my pictures in the msgstore folders therefore some dont appear in view.php. I just wondered if this is a Diary problem or could it be an O2 problem.Only the gif files arrived with .txt. I do hope someone can help. Embarassed

Hmm, that bug I have seen before. If I recall it was a user who tried installing it under windows. Are you doing that?

If not so then it might be some PHP version issue or setup issue. You will need PHP 4.2 and above unfortunately.

I don't know why it fails under windows though.

Laughing Hi Folks its me again. I have found the cure for only gifs being recieved into msgstore. I had to eddit the config.php
from "image/jpeg" => array( "thumbnail_hook" ), // Make a thumbnail to "image/jpg" => array( "thumbnail_hook" ), // Make a thumbnail . All is well now. Excellent program.
I will give the Peffisaur another try sometime.I am running on windows butI dont think the mail receiving will work here. Unless someone knows an easy way to it working on windows. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I have Peffisaur running now on my Windows-based server...
Only thing not working YET is that email-receiving thing, but i'm sure that somehow it can be "fixed".
If you start working on it, please keep me posted, I'll do the same...
I really like all of this stuff..
