Hello,

I was tried using the MMS Diary. I have copied the necessary files onto a webserver. Then i tried setting the "HomePage" in the Tools->Settings->Acess points->New access point->Existing Settings

I have Nokia 3650.

There i just changed the Homepage to my URL on server: http://mywebserverurl/diary/send.php

I did clear cache etc stuff ...unable to see the picture on my webserver. Tried sending MMS picture but it didn't reflect on my site..while composing MMS i tried some arbit address at "TO:" field...since as i read it in the manual it doesn't matter what you set in the "TO" field.

This is not working. Can anybody how to send sms to a site with settings mentioned in MMS Diary. If its possible with any other mobile please let me know (ericsson P800 / T68 etc...)

PS: But i see the Gateway number in the access point settings. Does it make any difference

-Regards

Maybe you should first set the homepage in your phone to:
http://www.hellkvist.org/diary/send.php

And see if you can view the image you have send at:
http://www.hellkvist.org/diary/view.php

(Because this url definitely should work)

If this works, you know at least that the settings in your phone are correct. If it doesn't what is your telephone company?

I am using orange (hutch).

Atleast can i use the email facility of xxxx@peffis.com and set MSIDN number and see the collections. If so is it necessary that MSIDN number should be exactly the MMS sender i.e., if i have +xyz as msidn number is it necessary that only +xyz will be able to send mms to xxxx@peffis.com and will get published in my collection. Or +abc sends mms to xxxx@peffis.com then it gets published in my collection.

Thanx a lot!!!

Orange (Netherlands) works fine for me. Sending a MMS to send.php is even free! And yes, the MSIDN number should exactly be the part in your From Address before the @.

Hmm.. this is really annoying I'm having the same problem. I CANNOT get MMSDIARY working.

However, I tried Peffisaur first of all and it worked great, installed no prob on my dev server at home. However I didn't really want a multi-user community, so I thought I'd downgrade to MMSDIARY (also MMSDIARY doesn't need mod_rewrite which my proper web host doesn't give me!)

Guess what same problem. MMS sending failed. I'm sending to send.php, rather than the s/<user>/<pw> format of Peffisaur, an easy mistake I'm sure. I sent an image to hellkvist.org/diary/send.php to test my handset & config - no problem there. (and it even appeared online!)
Looking at the msgstore directory, the jpg file is being decoded but the message text is not there. When hitting diary/view.php the page says there are no messages.

I can't figure out where it is failing as there are no error messages anywhere!??!

Help?

I have the same problem as PaulM.

The files are converted and uploaded to the msgstore folder in separate folders sorted on some kind of message id. But they don't turn up on the view.php page!
What can be the cause of this?

Best regards
Kenneth

By the way! This is truly a greate script/program. Nice!

You changed jpeg to jpg in what files?

I found that by reinstalling version 0.93 instead of 0.95 the problem went away.

I can only assume there is some bug in the 0.95 release.

Strangely enough though I diffed the files in the peffisaur and 0.95 release and I think send.php was the only difference. When diffing the 0.93 send.php and 0.95 version ,theres not much difference.

So is it a bug, or a configuration quirk?

Hi Paul,

Do you have the gd module in your php? Type php -m (php4 -m in Debian) and check.

Sometimes this exact error has come from people not having that module which is an image manipulation module needed to create thumbnails for instance.
