Strangely enough does connecting to Peffis.com also NOT work...
As said, connecting to MMS Diary is no problem at all.
Is there a typical another kind of coding in the page? Can that be changed? |

Well, if you actually click on the link above you see:
Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111) in /var/www/html/live/send.php on line 216
Could not connect to database
So it seems your database is not setup properly.
That's the difference between MMS Diary and Peffisaur. MMS Diary stores everything in the file system while Peffisaur uses a Mysql database. You need to setup the Peffisaur user in that database and have it accept connections from localhost. |

Thnx, but click again.
No db-error, because that's all properly setup. |

But something is very wrong with your installation though. If I click on http://www.eenstel.nl/live/users.php?l=All%20Users
I see only two users and you send to user with id 5 in that link. Does one of those two users have id=5?
Well, my suggestion to you is to post with my poster script against the site (I have posted it several times. Check out this thread for instance http://www.hellkvist.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21&start=0 for a copy of the script.
By using that you might get a better feedback on what is going wrong. It seems your rewrite rule at least redirects you to send.php (that's what thanks for the fish means) and it seems now that it can connect to mysql as well. What can still go wrong though is the variables that the rewrite rules set. IN some installations users have had it has for some reason ended up setting the variable names to something else. In my installation it sets it to REDIRECT_uid and REDIRECT_pwd but I have seen some other alternatives and it could be that yours do that as well. You could try replacing the content of send.php with simply phpinfo and see if you can find uid and pwd somewhere and see what the names are. That is all assuming that you actually have a user with id=5 and with that password.
(unfortunately I will be away on vacation now for a month so I don't think I will be in here much more for some time - good luck and talk to you later)
Cheers,
Stefan |

Yes, there really is a user 5 (other test-users are deleted).
I'm quite sure that the file is processing everything ok, my php-understanding is enough to rule out those problems. I've rewritten something in order to work correctly.
But i still get the same error on my fone, with my Peffis, your Peffis, but not with MMS Diary.
I think i'm gonna compare the send-files of mms and peffis to see what's the difference.
Thnx anyway, have a good vacation! |

Well, actually the whole case is simple:
* Why does uploading to MMS Diary work and uploading to Peffisaur not?
As i mentioned above, i've also created an account at Peffis.com, and that's not working either.
But uploading to MMS Diary is no problem at all.....
Very strange...... Anyone?
[uploading = sending mms with picture to the site] |
